The American Train Dispatchers Association (ATDA) was one of nine unions honored by the U.S. Department of Labor on September 17 in Washington, D.C. The DOL’s Century of Service Honor Roll of American Labor Organizations recognizes unions that have reached their 100th anniversary as well as their contributions in American history. The ATDA was founded in 1917. ATDA President Ed Dowell accepted the award from Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su.
BLET National President Eddie Hall attended the September 17 ceremony in a show of solidarity with our ATDA Brothers and Sisters. Founded in 1863, the BLET was one of the first unions inducted into the Century of Service Honor Roll after it was established in 1992.
