The BLET Education & Training Department conducted a hybrid training class for Division Secretary-Treasurers last week, with 55 members participating both in person at the BLET National Division Training Center and virtually via Zoom.
Many participants in the three-day session were first time Secretary-Treasurers who were elected to office during the 2024 Triennial Election. They received valuable training in several areas, including how to use the BLET’s UnionTrack membership reporting system, payroll reporting and tax compliance, and instructions on how to complete the Department of Labor LM-3 and LM-4 forms.
Leading the class were David Estes, National Secretary-Treasurer; Megan Mead, Director of the Record and Compliance Department; and Walt Schmidt, Director of the BLET Online Services Department. Also present were Luke Myers, Director of Bylaws Administration; Matt Kronyak, Special Representative/Director of Mobilization, Eastern Region; Rich Bartela, Special Representative/Auditor; and Kimm Bunch, Government Relations Specialist.
