INDEPENDENCE, Ohio, March 10 — Services for late BLET member Louis P. Shuster will be held next week.

Brother Shuster, who served the BLET as President of Division 607 (Cleveland), was killed while working for Norfolk Southern on March 7. Brother Shuster was the father of a 16-year-old son and a caregiver to his elderly parents. He was also an Army veteran.

Family and friends may call Golubski Deliberato Funeral Home (4747 Turney Rd., Garfield Heights, OH 44125) for a memorial visitation on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, from 4:00 pm.-8:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Saints Peter and Paul Church (4750 Turney Rd. Garfield Heights, OH 44125). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made at https://foldsofhonor.org/ .

Sadly, Brother Shuster’s death was the second major tragedy to impact his family in recent months. “Two months ago, Brother Lou had lost his brother, and now his parents will be burying their second child in three months, and this is an unfortunate expense nobody wants,” wrote GoFundMe organizer and BLET Division 607 member Alan Thompson.
