Jeff Thurman was reelected by acclamation to his fourth term as General Chairman of the BNSF (former SLSF)/MNA General Committee of Adjustment (GCA) at the GCA’s quadrennial meeting on May 14, 2025. The GCA represents 1,150 active and retired members from 15 different BLET Divisions.
Also elected were: 1st Vice Chairman Kyle King, Division 578 (Tulsa, Okla.); Secretary-Treasurer Bill Honeycutt, Division 285 (Thayer, Mo.); 2nd Vice Chairman Braden Thornton, Division 721 (Enid, Okla.); 3rd Vice Chairman Billy Harris, Division 285 (Thayer, Mo.); and 4th Vice Chairman Randy Amberger, Division 567 (Springfield, Mo.).
Elected to alternate positions were: 1st Alt. Vice Chairman Daniel Holdcroft, Division 502 (Kansas City, Mo.); 2nd Alt. Vice Chairman William Brake, Division 237 (Springfield, Mo.); 3rd Alt. Vice Chairman Shane Bragg, Division 578 (Tulsa, Oka.); and Alt. Secretary-Treasurer Brett Jones, Division 386 (Birmingham, Ala.).
Elected to serve as Trustees were: Zachary Levin, Division 502 (Kansas City, Mo.); Carl Parker, Division 919 (Amory, Miss.); and Bobby Szenasi, Division 604 (Madill, Okla.).
Thurman is a BNSF locomotive engineer and member of BLET Division 172 (Fort Worth, Texas). He hired out on February 11, 1994 and earned promotion to locomotive engineer on April 19, 1995. Thurman was elevated to his first term as General Chairman in June of 2013 and was reelected for additional terms at quadrennial meetings in 2017 and 2021.
