Kansas City Southern de Mexico is battling congestion in key terminals likely caused by a combination of stronger than expected traffic growth and train crew shortages. According to Trains Magazine, the congestion began in December and now threatens to gum up Kansas City Southern’s U.S. network less than four weeks before Canadian Pacific gains control of the railroad and creates Canadian Pacific Kansas City.
