This Statement of Privacy applies to the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen (“BLET”) and governs data collection and usage with our website located at ble-t.org (the “Website”). Email Communication Terms and Conditions

By providing your email, you are opting in to receive periodic emails from the BLET concerning such items as press releases, organization-wide announcements that impact all members, pro-union legislation and action alerts. You can expect occasional email message frequency (twice weekly), but that frequency may change.

If you would like to stop receiving communications via email from BLET, you may opt out of such communications by Members may unsubscribe from emails by “replying STOP” or “clicking on the UNSUBSCRIBE button.

Text Message (SMS) Terms and Conditions

By providing your cell phone number, you are opting in to receive periodic SMS (short message service) text messages from the BLET concerning such items as organization-wide announcements that impact all members, pro-union legislation and action alerts. You can expect occasional text message frequency (twice monthly), but that frequency may change.

You can cancel the SMS service at any time, by texting “STOP” to 833-517-1541 After you send the SMS “STOP” message, you will receive a SMS message to confirm that you have been unsubscribed and will no longer receive SMS messages.

If you experience issues with the messaging platform, simply text the keyword HELP to 833-517-1541for more assistance or reach out via email to support@ble-t.org.

As always, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to or from you. If you have any questions about your text plan or data plan, it is best to contact your wireless provider. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

    You authorize BLET to use autodialer or non-autodialer technology to send text messages to the cell phone number associated with your opt in.

    You confirm that you are the subscriber to the provided phone number, or that you are the customary user of that number on a family or business plan and that you are authorized to opt-in.

    You consent to the use of an electronic record to document your opt-in.

  • Changes to Terms and Conditions
    BLET may revise, modify, or amend these BLET SMS Terms and Conditions at any time. Any such revision, modification, or amendment shall take effect when it is posted to BLET’s website (https://www.ble-t.org/privacy). You agree to review these BLET SMS Terms and Conditions periodically to ensure that you are aware of any changes. Your continued consent to receive BLET text messages will indicate your acceptance of those changes.

The www.ble-t.org website (the “Site”) is comprised of various web pages operated by BROTHERHOOD OF LOCOMOTIVE ENGINEERS AND TRAINMEN (“BLET”). www.ble-t.org is offered to you conditioned on your acceptance without modification of the terms, conditions, and notices contained herein (the “Terms”). BLET content is not for resale. International Users

The Service is controlled, operated and administered by BLET from our offices within the USA. If you access the Service from a location outside the USA, you are responsible for compliance with all local laws. Indemnification

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and you hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of courts in Ohio in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of the Site. You agree that no joint venture, partnership, employment, or agency relationship exists between you and BLET as a result of this agreement or use of the Site. BLET’s performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of BLET’s right to comply with governmental, court and law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of the Site or information provided to or gathered by BLET with respect to such use. If any part of this agreement is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.

Unless otherwise specified herein, this agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the user and BLET with respect to the Site and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral or written, between the user and BLET with respect to the Site. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form. It is the express wish to the parties that this agreement and all related documents be written in English.

Changes to Terms
