GREAT FALLS, Mont. — The Northern Express Transport Authority in Shelby has secured an almost $10 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to complete an intermodal facility that will allow shipping containers to be transferred from truck to rail. The federal money will be used to construct 10,860 lineal feet of track for intermodal trains, construct a 3,600 lineal feet access road to the facility and build a 20-acre yard to stage oversized equipment.
