MIAMI, Fla. — Miami-Dade detectives arrested two men who they said stole a CSX locomotive on Monday morning.
The investigation began when a CSX security officer reported the locomotive stolen from a railroad turnaround in Southwest Miami-Dade County.
The locomotive was later recovered.
On Wednesday, detectives arrested 23-year-old Alex Johnson Self and 22-year-old Brandon Dowdy and charged them with grand theft. Additional charges included burglary, interference with railroad track and other equipment and unauthorized persons interfering with railroads.
No injuries were reported.
