SANDUSKY, Ohio — No one was hurt when up to 22 ”RoadRailer” railcars turned over on their sides about 3:26 p.m. Monday, according to information from Sandusky police and firefighters and Norfolk Southern Railroad.
The westbound train had 146 cars carrying freight from Bethlehem, Pa., to Chicago, said Norfolk Southern spokesman Rudy Husband.
Railroad workers were still investigating what caused the cars to roll off the tracks, Husband said. An exact dollar amount for damage and repairs was not available as of last night, he said.
