ROCKY RIDGE, Ohio — About 25 railroad cars went off the track when a Norfolk Southern freight train derailed here last night, Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said.

Authorities, who at first thought ammonia had spilled from one of the tank cars, said the cars only carried grain.

The train derailed between Main Street and Lickert-Harder Road and was blocking Main late last night. Nobody was injured, and no one had to be evacuated, authorities said.
