JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. — CSX shut down its Erwin, Tennessee, rail yard in October and promised employees who lost their jobs that they would receive at least 60 days’ worth of pay and benefits. However, 40 carmen say their agreement guarantees additional compensation. The Brotherhood Railway Carmen (TCU) filed a grievance on their behalf earlier this month.
