TUCSON, Ariz. — Next year, Union Pacific will be celebrating its 150th birthday, marking one and a half centuries as a major business interest in the U.S. What may be surprising is that instead of a dwindling enterprise, or museum-only attraction, the rail industry is currently experiencing a new wave of growth.
