CLEVELAND, February 18 — In light of the deadly Norfolk Southern train crash in January, the Rail Conference of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters is participating in a candlelight prayer vigil in Graniteville, S.C., on February 27.
Nine people were killed in the January 6 collision, including Christopher Seeling, Secretary-Treasurer of BLET Division 85.
The Rail Conference is joining together with members of the Graniteville faith community and area residents to pray for healing and to seek ways to protect the safety of those who work on and live near rail lines.
This important gathering will take place at the Leavelle McCampbell Middle School in Graniteville. Vice-President Paul Wingo will represent the National Division of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.
