WASHINGTON, D.C. — Working families made Wal-Mart America’s leading retailer and employer. Now it’s time for Wal-Mart to become a corporate leader working families can respect.
In recent years, investigations of Wal-Mart have revealed many charges of discrimination and reports that employees had to work “off-the-clock” without pay. Wal-Mart’s low-wage “associates” have to pay exorbitant premiums for limited medical coverage or go without the health insurance their families need for doctor’s bills, medicine and more.
Take Action: Tell Wal-Mart’s People Division to do the right thing. Take one minute now to click on the link below to send a fax to Wal-Mart or keep reading for more information. http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/walmart/33egna275wj
Working families are standing up to Wal-Mart, demanding the mega-company pay workers a living wage, provide affordable health care for workers, stop illegal interference with workers’ freedom to form a union, respect communities, respect workers, end discrimination and respect the environment.
Please do your part. Tell Wal-Mart to respect workers, respect our communities. Click on the link below now and send a fax to Wal-Mart. http://www.unionvoice.org/campaign/walmart/33egna275wj
You can get involved in the struggle to bring justice to Wal-Mart and make it a company we can all respect. Go to a nearby Wal-Mart store wearing your union logo gear–a cap, T-shirt, jacket or button, for example–and talk with Wal-Mart associates about the benefits of having a union.
