WASHINGTON, D.C. — Despite the renewed pressure for Amtrak and other companies to meet the deadline for installation of Positive Train Control, Congress appears poised to provide a three-year delay as the rail industry has increased its lobbying efforts. Lobbying records suggest major rail firms began spending more on lobbying following the Amtrak crash.
