CLEVELAND, March 1 — The Alabama State AFL-CIO passed a remote control resolution on February 7.

The resolution, voted on by the federation’s Executive Committee, is similar to those passed by other state AFL-CIO federations in recent months. The Alabama AFL-CIO joins 13 other AFL-CIO State Federations that have adopted similar resolutions calling for improved remote control safety.

BLET Alabama State Legislative Board Chairman T.E. Hudson thanked Al Henley, Alabama AFL-CIO Secretary-Treasurer, and Stewart Burkhalter, Alabama AFL-CIO President, for their assistance with the resolution.

The 13 other state federations are: Arizona; Texas; Michigan; Nevada; North Carolina; Missouri; North Dakota; Nebraska; Wisconsin; Georgia; Illinois; Pennsylvania; and Kentucky.
