ANCHORAGE — The Alaska Railroad is holding a series of public meetings around the state to take public comment on proposed projects for 2003, reported the Associated Press.
The railroad will showcase proposed capital improvement projects that are in various stages of development. Many of the projects proposed next year are funded by the federal government.
The first of the meetings will be held today in Anchorage. It gets under way at 4:30 p.m. at the Anchorage Rail Depot.
The Fairbanks meeting will be held Thursday.
A meeting in Seward will be held next week and in Wasilla the following week.
