On Sept. 14, American Honda Motor Co. plans to mark its return to the Port of Richmond, Calif. The automaker has scheduled a grand opening event for the Honda Port-of-Entry project.
The recently completed project included the construction of an 84-unit rail-car loading facility, roadway improvements and berth upgrades.
The project is expected to create 200 jobs and generate $85 million for the local economy during the next 15 years, according to American Honda.
