WASHINGTON — Amtrak is adding 60 extra trains Thanksgiving week to handle the expected crush of holiday travelers.
And Amtrak says all passengers in the Northeast Corridor will need reservations.
Passengers are no longer allowed to fill standing room on trains as they were in previous years.
Passengers are encouraged to arrive at the station 45 minutes before their scheduled departure time. And passengers may be required to show identification to security officers aboard trains.
Last year, the railroad moved more than 600-thousand passengers during the Thanksgiving travel period.
