WASHINGTON, D.C. — Amtrak will continue operating a modified schedule in mid-Atlantic region, following a winter storm.

Acela Express, Northeast Regional and other services between Boston and Washington D.C., and Keystone Service between Harrisburg, Pa., and New York, will operate on a modified schedule on Monday, Jan. 25. There will be reduced Amtrak service between Washington and points in Virginia due to local conditions.

Passengers who have reservations on affected services are being contacted and accommodated on other trains with similar departure times or offered alternate travel dates.

Several other Amtrak services are canceled or truncated, including:

• Auto Train (Lorton, Va. – Sanford, Fla.), Trains 52 & 53, will not operate on Jan. 25
• Capitol Limited (Washington, D.C. – Chicago), Train 29 will operate only between Chicago and Pittsburgh on Jan. 25. Train 30’s status on Jan 25 will be determined later.
• Cardinal (New York – Chicago), Trains 50 & 51, and Hoosier State, Trains 850 & 851, will provide daily service only between Chicago and Indianapolis on Jan. 25.
• Carolinian (Charlotte, N.C. – New York), Trains 79 & 80, will operate between Charlotte and Raleigh, N.C., with other sections of Trains 79 & 80 operating between New York and Washington on Jan. 25.
• Palmetto (New York – Savannah, Ga.), Trains 89 & 90, will operate only between New York and Washington on Jan. 25
• Silver Meteor (New York – Miami), Train 97’s status on Jan. 25 will be determined later. Train 98 will operate on Jan. 25
• Silver Star (New York – Miami), Trains 91 & 92, will operate only between Miami and Jacksonville on Jan. 25

As soon as possible this Monday, Amtrak will complete service plans for Jan 25 and later announce plans for Tuesday, Jan. 26, for the Northeast Corridor (Boston-New York-Washington), Keystone Service and for service south and west of Washington/Virginia.
