OLYMPIA, Wash. — After an unusually rough start in the first three months of 2011, due mainly to mudslides and other disruptions, Amtrak’s Cascades route from Vancouver, B.C., to Eugene, Ore., has set a quarterly ridership record in the second quarter of 2011.
