WASHINGTON, D.C. — Officials said an Amtrak employee was injured after being struck by a train at Union Station. D.C. Fire spokesman Vito Maggiolo said the incident happened around 5 a.m. Thursday when rescuers got a call for “an injured person.” When firefighters arrived, he said, they found that an Amtrak employee was in a golf cart “used to transport baggage” and was struck by a train.
