The Amtrak Service Workers Council (ASWC) recently reached a tentative five-year agreement with Amtrak on wages and health insurance, union officials said in a prepared statement.
The contract includes a 15 percent general wage increase, five-year freeze on insurance and drug co-pays and deductibles, and limits on health insurance contributions. The contract also calls for no work rule concessions.
The ASWC, which represents all Amtrak onboard service workers, is conducting a ratification vote. Ballots are due June 18.
