WASHINGTON, D.C. — Amtrak operations have been restored in Northeast Washington Monday, but some trains are on reduced schedules.

Amtrak has cancelled some regularly scheduled trains in the eastern region on Monday, December 21, in order to reposition train equipment and ease congestion along the railroad.

Most Acela service will operate as scheduled, with one cancellation and one that will operate on a modified schedule.

Also, four Harrisburg-Philadelphia Keystone trains will be canceled tomorrow.
