RENSSELAER, N.Y. — An immigrant from Guyana was arrested in upstate New York after Amtrak passengers told local police he was behaving suspiciously.
Federal authorities say passengers became suspicious Sunday evening when the man reportedly aimed a video camera at or near a train station. Local police and members of an anti-terrorism task force interviewed the man and turned him over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Federal authorities have not identified the man who was taken into custody in Rensselaer, east of Albany.
Immigration officials couldn’t be reached for comment.
