NEWARK, N.J. — Amtrak power problems caused delays Tuesday morning for some NJ Transit rail commuters, the commuter railroad said.
Passengers on NJ Transit’s Northeast Corridor and North Jersey Coast Line faced delays of up to an hour and the railroad recommended they find other ways to work, spokesman Ken Miller said.
Midtown Direct service was operating to and from Hoboken, and passengers could use their tickets on PATH trains.
An Amtrak spokeswoman said the railroad had experienced a brief power problem and electricity was restored quickly.
Amtrak has had several power problems this year, one which brought the bulk of the Northeast Corridor to a halt for several hours in May.
