SEATTLE — Passenger trains were cleared to start running again between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., and between Portland and Spokane on Monday afternoon, Amtrak said.
But the Seattle-to-Portland route was to remain closed as a precaution until tonight because of a slide south of Tacoma. Amtrak said it was providing bus service until the route reopened.
