ALBANY, N.Y. — The Google Transit program, which lets users map their routes to a destination using public transportation, now incorporates five Amtrak routes, including two through the Capital Region.

The local routes are Amtrak’s Empire Service from New York to Niagara Falls through Albany; and the Ethan Allen Express from New York to Rutland via Albany.

The trip planning program will provide connecting information between Amtrak trains and local public transit to enable travelers to reach their destination.
