NORMAN, Okla. — Oklahoma’s own Amtrak Heartland Flyer will be extended from its regular Fort Worth terminus to Dallas Oct. 10 and 12 for the OU-Texas game.
For a fixed round-trip rate of $54, OU or Texas fans can board the Heartland Flyer at any station along the route, including Oklahoma City, Norman, Purcell, Pauls Valley, Ardmore, Gainesville and Fort Worth, to travel to Dallas.
The Heartland Flyer trains usually terminate and originate in Fort Worth, but the trains will be extended to Dallas Union Station, 400 S. Houston St., on Oct. 10 and 12.
The rail fare does not include local transportation to and from hotels or the stadium or tickets to the game. Several hotels are offering transportation to the game at Cotton Bowl Stadium.
The southbound Heartland Flyer (Train 821) departs from Oklahoma locations in the mid-morning and arrives in the Metroplex in the mid-afternoon. The northbound Heartland Flyer (Train 822) departs from the Metroplex in the late afternoon and arrives in Oklahoma in the evening.

Lunch will be available on board for a fee on the southbound trip, after departing Ardmore. On the return trip, dinner will be available on board at a fee after departing Dallas.
