CHEMULT, Ore. — Amtrak announced that passenger train service between Seattle and Los Angeles will resume next week, but riders must transfer to bus service between Eugene and Klamath Falls in both directions.
Service has been suspended since a January landslide buried train tracks north of Chemult.
Officials say freight railroad traffic through the mudslide area remains disrupted and is slowly being restored. There is no scheduled date for full restoration of the route.
