BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — An Amtrak train collided with a big rig south of
Fresno shortly after 7 a.m. this morning, the Bakersfield Californian reported.
According to the California Highway Patrol, passengers were being
taken off the train near Elkhorn Road and Clovis Avenue in the Selma area.
It was not immediately known whether there were any injuries. The
train was believed to be a northbound train that left Bakersfield at 4:55 a.m. today.
