NEW YORK — WCBS has learned an Amtrak train departing from Boston and arriving at New York Penn Station became stuck inside an underground tunnel for about 45 minutes Thursday.
Officials say the train lost it’s traction capability about 12:30 forcing it to stop.
The regional service train, number 171, arrived in New York about 1:15.
No other Amtrak trains were affected by the delay, but Long Island Railroad trains were delayed up to 30 minutes.
