BELLINGHAM, Wash. — Amtrak passenger rail service through Bellingham resumed today, after rail officials ended a curfew imposed when mudslides blocked railroad tracks near Everett last week.

The BNSF Railway, which owns the tracks, lifted its curfew between Seattle and Portland, allowing Amtrak to resume regular service for its Amtrak Cascades run from Seattle to Vancouver, B.C. It stops in Bellingham twice daily.

Passengers can call 800-USA-RAIL or go to www.amtrak.com for schedule information and train status updates.
