MONTPELIER, Vt. — Service for Amtrak’s Vermonter train between St. Albans and Springfield, Mass., will be disrupted between August 17 and August 21 so work crews can make improvements related to the Bellows Falls Tunnel.
There will be no southbound train service from St. Albans to Springfield from Aug. 18-21, while there will be no northbound train service from Springfield to St. Albans from August 17-20.
Trains south of Springfield will run on their normal schedule.
Amtrak will provide bus service between St. Albans and Springfield for all legs the train does not operate so passengers can reach all regular destinations.
