WASHINGTON, D.C. — Gov. Phil Murphy said Monday he would have been “crazed” had he been stuck in the rain with thousands of stranded fans after Sunday night’s WrestleMania event at MetLife Stadium and sharply criticized the performance of New Jersey’s state-run rail system. NJ Transit blamed WWE for a later-than-expected end to the event, saying some of their crews had reached federally imposed work limits, but Murphy said that didn’t excuse a failure to communicate with would-be riders about what was occurring.
