NEWARK, N.J. — A flabbergasted Loretta Weinberg, one of New Jersey’s highest-ranking lawmakers, said Monday it’s “absolutely mind-blowing” and a case of “bad government” the new state budget deal crafted by her fellow Democratic leaders does not include a major long-term funding boost to NJ Transit despite a massive influx of tax revenue.
