WASHINGTON, D.C. — Joe Biden took the train back and forth each day between Delaware and Washington during his decades in the Senate. So where did the famous Amtrak commuter spend his first weekend as vice president of the United States?
Wilmington, Delaware, of course.
Biden says it’s really no surprise.
There is the vice president’s official residence in Washington. But Biden says his mom still lives in Delaware, it’s a short trip home and he told her he would try to get back home as often as he could.
On top of that, Biden says he can’t persuade his mother to move down to Washington.
