INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — A requirement for railroad crossings to have 1,500 feet of clear view of the tracks may be removed from the state law and placed under the Indiana Department of Transportation’s regulations. The bill introduced in the House of Representatives received its first hearing Wednesday. The Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen and other groups support the bill.
