PHILADELPHIA — A small brake fire forced a short delay for a SEPTA Regional Rail train headed toward Newark, Del., during last night’s rush, a spokesman said.
The fire was reported at 6:33 p.m. on a southbound R2 train near the Marcus Hook station. The train was stopped there, and passengers in one car were relocated to other parts of the train. The fire was declared under control at 6:47 and the train resumed after a 30-minute delay. No other trains were affected.
