CLEVELAND, February 19 — Long time BLE member R.J. (Rodney) Stutes suffered a massive heart attack last weekend. He is currently in a coma in guarded condition.
A member of Division 366 (Houston, Texas) since 1972, Brother Stutes is also a primary member of the BLE’s Safety Task Force (STF) and a member of the Brotherhood’s National Mobilization Team.
There are a number of medical evaluations to be conducted with results anticipated at the end of the week.
BLE International President Don Hahs said Brother Stutes, 56, is an exemplary member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers who is well known because of his activities with the STF and National Mobilization Team.
“I ask all BLE Brothers and Sisters to keep Rodney Stutes and his family in their thoughts and prayers,” President Hahs said.
