CLEVELAND, March 1 — A patriotic red, white and blue logo is the favorite of Internet users who voted in an online poll conducted by the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and Trainmen.
The red, white and blue color scheme will be one of three different options available to members purchasing letterhead, business cards, and other supplies from the BLET National Division. Also available will be logos that are black and gold as well as blue and gold.
More than 1,000 votes were cast in recent online polling, with more than 500 selecting the red, white and blue design.
General Committees, State Legislative Boards and Local Divisions may begin requesting letterhead through the National Division. They will have the option of using a logo that is red, white and blue, blue and gold, or black and gold on their letterhead. Black and white will also be available.
Those wishing to print their own letterhead are reminded that they must use a union printer. In such a case, logos will be provided from the BLET National Division to the printers by e-mail or through the mail on CD.
The new BLET logos are copyrighted images and should not be used without permission of the BLET National Division.
Those requesting letterhead through the National Division should call (216) 241-2630.
Those requesting a logo to print their own letterhead should call John Bentley at (216) 241-2630 or e-mail Bentley@ble.org.
