CLEVELAND, October 3 — The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is looking to hire four full-time railroad accident investigators to fill vacancies at their Washington, D.C. headquarters.
Among other qualifications, applicants must have knowledge of the railroad industry, including operating practices, motive power and equipment, track and/or signal and train control. Examples of specialized experience include participating as a team member in railroad accident investigations; interviewing witnesses; writing analytical and investigative reports; and participating in special studies related to railroad safety.
Salary ranges from $74,872 to $136,771 per year, depending on the applicant’s level of experience. Relocation expenses are not available.
