Congratulations to the Brothers and Sisters of BLET Division 203 (Jackson, Miss.) and Division 23 (Memphis, Tenn.) who recently concluded their successful “Fill the Sleigh” campaign. Members in Memphis donated 137 bicycles to the Binghampton Development Corp. while the Jackson membership donated 136 to the local Toys for Tots.

“We filled our sleigh! I am very grateful for the amount of bikes and other toys that were donated during our ‘Fill the Sleigh’ campaign,” said Jeremy Wilborn, who serves as Local Chairman of Division 203 and First Vice Chairman of the CN-IC GCA. “None of this would have been possible without the influence of Brother Trey Turner, Local Chairman of BLET Division 23 in Memphis. With his guidance, we were able to bring joy to numerous families in our community this holiday season.”

Aside from generously helping those in need, engineers in Jackson had extra motivation this giving season. They accepted a friendly challenge from their counterparts in SMART-TD to see which Organization could donate the most bikes. In addition to winning bragging rights, the Jackson engineers collected a trophy for their efforts.

Wilborn concluded: “Although, we turned this into a friendly competition, the mission is what matters most and that is to support and spread joy to as many families as possible.”

Led by Local Chairman Trey Turner, BLET locomotive engineers in Division 23 (Memphis, Tenn.) collected and donated 137 bicycles to the Binghampton Development Corp., an organization that assists families facing economic challenges.
