CLEVELAND, June 2 — This morning, the U.S House of Representatives’ Transportation and Infrastructure (T&I) Committee will hold a hearing on the Amtrak Northeast Regional Train 188 accident that occurred on May 12 in Philadelphia. Titled “Oversight of the Amtrak Accident in Philadelphia,” the hearing is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.

BLET National President Dennis R. Pierce is among the witnesses who will testify. Others include: Christopher Hart, Chairman, National Transportation Safety Board; Joseph H. Boardman, President and Chief Executive Officer, Amtrak and Sarah Feinberg, Acting Administrator, Federal Railroad Administration.
