CLEVELAND, January 17 — The annual meeting of the BLET Western General Chairman’s Association (WGCA) will be held April 18-21 at the Flamingo Hotel in Las Vegas, the Association’s new Chairman Pat Williams announced today.

April 18 will be a travel day, with full business sessions taking place on April 19-20, Chairman Williams said. There will be a half-day session on April 21 in the event that business takes longer than usual.

“This meeting will allow for some important and valuable networking between our members. It always allows for our group to interact with officers of the National Division and exchange information about the handling of matters on their respective properties, which I feel benefits our membership in that the best ideas come to the top this way,” Chairman Williams said.

Rick Gibbons, Secretary-Treasurer of the WGCA, said information will be sent to Association members and other interested parties in the near future regarding hotel registration information and the program agenda.

Brother Williams, who is the General Chairman of the BNSF (ATSF) General Committee of Adjustment, became WGCA Chairman on January 1, 2011, following the swearing in of former Chairman Michael Priester as a BLET National Vice President.

Brother Gibbons is the General Chairman of the BNSF (STL-SF) General Committee of Adjustment.

BLET National President Dennis Pierce, who served as Chairman of the WGCA for several years, said that he is planning to represent the National Division at this important meeting, along with First Vice President Lee Pruitt and National Secretary-Treasurer Bill Walpert.
