The BLET wrapped up its series of in-person Town Halls last week with meetings in Spokane, Wa., Alliance, Neb., and Kansas City, Mo. Members asked detailed questions on provisions of the tentative national agreement and what it means for locomotive engineers and other railroaders represented by BLET. The sessions were led by BLET National President Mark Wallace who answered member questions and provided background on the negotiating process.

Two virtual Town Hall meetings will be held tomorrow (December 9) via Zoom for those who were unable to attend one of the nine in-person meetings that were held throughout the country in November and December. The first Zoom session will begin at 11:00 a.m. Eastern and the second at 7:00 p.m. Eastern.

These virtual meetings are for BLET members only and advance registration is required. Sign up using this Town Hall link to the Members’ Area of the BLET National Division website. As with the in-person meetings, these virtual sessions will be led by President Wallace.

Voting is now underway on the tentative national agreement as ballots were mailed to 12,000+ BLET members on December 5. Ballots will be counted on December 30. Members can review the tentative national agreement by logging in to the Members’ Area of the BLET National Division website.
