For the eighth-straight year, BNSF Railway Co. has landed on LATINA Style magazine’s list of the 50 best U.S. employers for Hispanics.
Each year, the magazine surveys more than 600 Fortune 1000 companies to determine their leadership and mentoring programs, employee benefits, alternative work policies, women’s issues and affinity groups for Hispanics, as well as their Latina representation in executive positions and Hispanic relations.
“Our commitment to diversity serves as a beacon in our quest to be socially responsible and inclusive in our interactions with our employees, customers, shareholders and public at large,” said Ed McFalls, BNSF assistant vice president of human resources and diversity, in an item posted on the “BNSF News” Web site.
The top-50 list also includes Union Pacific Railroad, Chrysler Corp., General Motors Corp., Proctor & Gamble and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.
