EMPORIA, KAN. — A broken rail apparently is responsible for a 15-car detailment Sunday in the yards of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.

BNSF spokesman Steve Forsberg said that 104 cars were being switched onto one of the tracks in the yards when the derailment occurred.

Fifteen cars were derailed; only four of them were loaded. Forsberg said that no hazardous material was involved and the main line track was not affected.

Crews got the cars back on-track Monday.
