CLOVIS, N.M. — Police say a man died Thursday at the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe rail yard in Clovis.
Clovis Police Lt. Ron Hutchison says the man — an employee of the rail yard — was killed by a train that derailed there. The man’s name has not yet been released.
Hutchison says the train rolled off the tracks, but did not roll over.
The incident happened about 4:45 p.m.
Joe Fiola, a special agent with the railroad, is investigating the incident.
