BISMARCK, N.D. — In March, BNSF Railway will begin equipping its fleet with cameras capable of snapping images at 70 mph with enough detail to show cracks in rails or missing bolts. The rail company’s Track Health Optical Recognition program, which is coming to the end of a year-long, 3,000-mile pilot program, is just one of several uses of technology showcased by the company at the North Dakota Capitol on Tuesday.
